Condition Monitoring India

Naval & Marine

MVS ACMEI has naval, marine and large maritime transportation services programs designed to meet the specific requirements of our customers.

On the high seas, maximum reliability of machinery is critical to survival. Failure of a machine can result in financial damage and can also jeopardize the environment or human lives.

MVS ACMEI's systems are used to monitor and optimize the most important machine trains in the marine and shipping industry:

  • Vessel shafting systems
  • Pumps
  • Fans
  • Compressors
  • Turbines
  • Generators
  • Loading/conveyor technology.

Also included are propulsion components, such as:

  • Input and output shafts
  • Main stages
  • Roller bearings
  • Oil pump drives.

Condition monitoring of the propulsion components is achieved by frequency-selective monitoring of specific machine and roller bearing vibrations in combination with operating parameters such as RPM, oil pressure and oil temperature. The condition data is automatically sent to the shipowner or the responsible service partner; alerts are signaled immediately on the bridge.

In addition to the numerous standard and auxiliary machine trains on board, MVS ACMEI focuses its alignment activities on laser-based geometric measurements such as stern tube alignment, bore center measurement and alignment of vessel propulsion components.
