Transmission Fluid Analysis

Condition Monitoring India

Many driving conditions can create greater challenges for transmission fluid. Consumer and commercial vehicles face heavy loads, continuous operation, and stop/go traffic which can cause thermal breakdown in transmission fluid. Aside from high-stress conditions, manual and automatic transmission fluids are highly affected by contaminants, such as metals, solids and moisture. Our transmission fluid analysis programs will check for fluid condition and contamination levels.

  • Contaminants: Metals, solids, and moisture will eventually build up in the transmission fluid. Contaminants that remain in the transmission will shorten the life of the transmission, lower system performance and ultimately damage it to the point where it will need to be rebuilt or replaced.
  • Heat: High-stress driving conditions will cause thermal breakdown. This will “cook” or oxidize transmission fluid, resulting in varnish and sludge.
